Construction Labor - Door Installation Technician
Description

The Door Installation Technician will manage, direct, and install commercial doors and/or dock equipment for all building projects. Working with contractors, builders, the technician will install and follow safety practices and standards codes.

Responsibilities
  • Testing devices for improvement, safety, and quality control
  • Occasionally working on new construction sites
  • Perform installation of various commercial doorways or dock equipment
  • Reviewing architectural plans and preparing technician needs
  • Diagnosing and analyzing for optimal operation
  • Participating in test runs and meeting safety regulations
  • Modifying systems to be environmentally friendly
Qualifications
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
  • Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions
  • In-depth understanding of construction, materials, and industry
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Technical school degree and certification for technicians; license as required by state
  • 2+ years of experience as field technician, installation technician, or relevant work experience
  • Excellent communicator; able to understand instructions and communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal property and safety regulations
